Jurisdictions

Not every jurisdiction suits every client — here is how we choose.

Deltaxecho works across a selective range of internationally recognised offshore centres, chosen for regulatory stability, banking accessibility, and treaty reach.

Our jurisdiction selection criteria.

Every jurisdiction we recommend must satisfy six internal criteria: political and legal stability, OECD/FATF standing, quality of registered-agent infrastructure, banking accessibility for East African clients, cost-effectiveness relative to the asset scale involved, and the availability of relevant double-taxation agreements. We do not recommend jurisdictions simply because they are well-known or because they were suitable five years ago. The offshore landscape shifts — Deltaxecho monitors those shifts and updates client recommendations accordingly.

Jurisdictions where Deltaxecho holds active expertise.

We maintain current, working knowledge — not historical familiarity — in each of the following.

Mauritius

East Africa's most strategically positioned offshore centre, with an extensive treaty network covering Kenya, India, and multiple African states. Particularly suited to regional holding structures and investment-fund vehicles.

British Virgin Islands

A globally recognised IBC jurisdiction with flexible share structures, strong asset-protection legislation, and broad banking acceptance. Best deployed as a holding or IP-ownership layer within a multi-tier structure.

Seychelles

Cost-effective incorporation and maintenance, with a modern International Business Companies Act. Suitable for clients seeking a lean structure for asset holding or international trading at a lower annual overhead.

UAE (DIFC / ADGM)

The Gulf's pre-eminent common-law financial centres offer substance-friendly environments, a growing treaty network, and Tier-1 banking access — increasingly relevant for East African clients with Gulf business ties.

Cayman Islands

The standard jurisdiction for investment funds and sophisticated institutional structures. Deltaxecho advises on Cayman vehicles where the client's asset scale and investor base justify the higher compliance overhead.

Jurisdictions we do not currently cover.

Transparency about limitations is part of our advisory standard. We do not currently offer structuring in Panama, Vanuatu, Samoa, or other jurisdictions that carry elevated FATF scrutiny or that face banking correspondent de-risking. Clients who already hold structures in those jurisdictions are welcome to consult with us about migration options — but we will not incorporate new entities there. If a client's specific objectives require a jurisdiction outside our active coverage, we say so clearly and, where appropriate, refer to a specialist.
